Frequently Asked Questions
How do I set up the Smart Plug?
Setting up the Smart Plug is quick and easy! Simply plug it into any standard power point and connect it to your WiFi via the same KeldCo that runs your other KeldCo devices. Once connected, you can control the plug remotely from your phone. You’ll also be able to name the plug (e.g., “Living Room Lamp”) and set custom schedules.
Can I control the Smart Plug when I’m not at home?
Yes! As long as the Smart Plug is connected to WiFi, you can control it from anywhere using the app on your phone. Whether you’re at work or on vacation, you can turn your devices on or off, check their power usage, or adjust schedules from anywhere with an internet connection.
Does the Smart Plug work with voice assistants like Alexa or Google Home?
Absolutely! The Smart Plug is compatible with popular voice assistants like Amazon Alexa and Google Home. Once set up, you can control your devices with simple voice commands, like “Alexa, turn off the living room lamp.”
Can I monitor how much power my devices are using?
Yes! The Smart Plug allows you to monitor the power consumption of any connected device in real time. You can check the app to see how much energy is being used, helping you to make informed decisions about energy efficiency and cost savings.
Can I set up a schedule for the Smart Plug?
Yes, the Smart Plug lets you create custom schedules for your devices. You can set your lights to turn on at sunset, have your coffee maker start brewing in the morning, or schedule appliances to turn off at night—all automatically.
What devices can I use with the Smart Plug?
The Smart Plug works with almost any device that plugs into a standard power point. You can control lamps, fans, heaters, kitchen appliances, TVs, and more. Just make sure the device is within the power limits specified for the Smart Plug (usually 10A or 2300W for high-power devices).
Does the Smart Plug need to be connected to WiFi?
Yes, the Smart Plug requires a 2.4GHz WiFi connection to work. Once connected to your home network, you’ll be able to control it from anywhere via the app. If your WiFi drops, the Smart Plug will retain any pre-set schedules but won’t be accessible for real-time control until WiFi is restored.
How do I reset the Smart Plug if I need to reconnect it?
To reset the Smart Plug, simply hold down the power button on the side for about 5-10 seconds until the indicator light starts flashing. This will reset the device and allow you to reconnect it to your WiFi through the app.
Can I use multiple Smart Plugs in my home?
Yes! You can connect over 100 devices to the same app, including multiple Smart Plugs throughout your home, all managed from one easy-to-use platform. Each plug can be named (e.g., “Bedroom Lamp” or “Kitchen Toaster”) so you can control and monitor them individually. Whether you’re controlling a few or a hundred devices, it’s all seamless and accessible through the app.
Is the Smart Plug energy-efficient?
Yes, the Smart Plug helps you monitor and reduce your energy usage. By scheduling devices to turn off when not in use and tracking power consumption, you can lower energy waste and save on electricity bills over time. It’s especially useful for managing appliances that typically use standby power, like TVs or game consoles.
What voltage and power range does the Smart Plug support?
The Smart Plug is highly versatile and works with a voltage range of 90V to 250V, making it compatible with most household power points globally. It also supports a power rating of 1350W to 3750W, which means you can safely use it with a variety of appliances, from low-power devices like lamps to higher-power devices like heaters and air conditioners.

Like all the KeldCo cameras it was an easy install. Located about 5m above the ground on the corner of the shed. Motion sensing and tracking aren't very useful, even within 20m. Sometimes when we walk to the shed it picks us up and other times only when we leave the shed. PTZ function and viewing remotely is excellent. The other Home Guardian cameras are fine.
I use this to easily control power to the garage door opener from the supplied app via my phone. With all the clued up crims who use RF signal scanners to clone remote controls, this provides an extra layer of security for access to the garage. Great product and easy to setup and operate.
Very good product. Very pleased with the quality and integration you can tweak with the video if you need to.
Exactly as it says. Clear picture. Sound. Notifications. Left / right swivel. Easy to use. We’ve loved our one item thus far that the next purchase will be adding more.
Fast delivery, easy to set up, easy to use. Highly recommend.
The correspondence with this company is fantastic. They could not have helped more. Dana is a legend she had to put up with a lot of questions from us and she was so lovely I will definitely recommend this company 100% Thankyou Maureen
I have just had my camera installed for a week and so far am enjoying it. Although am still learning how it works, am very pleased with how it works. I am interested in purchasing another one soon.
We love the 180 angle as it picks up both our doors and our driveway. Living in rural VIC, the feature to turn off wildlife bouncing around is great; And when at work I get notifications of humans around the place. This is especially handy when you have told your other half to not think they are a Gardner and leave your plants alone! I guess some people just forget about great security footage!
Cameras work well. I would love if they scanned the area rather than just monitoring the area they are set to. Love the tracking feature
Just Installed Keldco Solar Cam Pro 3. Images videos sound excellent. looking forward to night-time ops and resolution.
10/10 product Easy to install and easy to setup Thanks Keldco
Mounting it and setting it up was easy...took 15 minutes. It took me a while to get the sensitivity settings right so I didn't get notifications every time the wind moved tree branches. Now that's done, it works perfectly. Very happy with it. About to order another one to cover the front gate.
Fantatic clarity of video footage playback Love the camera follows movement Can turn on spotlight remotely or by schedule excellent deterrent even siren if you need it Best overall security system I have had yet happy customer Going to buy 2 more
camera is fantastic. It follows everything even in dark. It catches people as they go past? one of the best cameras we’ve ever had I recognise this is fantastic
Great product Easy to install Works beautifully
Very happy with my cameras, they are very sensitive to movement and follw the objects be human or pet perfectly,
Easy installation under corner of carport, to cover driveway access and main entrance. Works well!
These cameras are excellent and easy to connect! Highly recommend them! I’ve already got some more!!
Absolutely love my Keldco 3.0 cameras! Purchased 2 cameras one for front of house and one for side which covers rear garage door entry. Crystal clear and very responsive in tracking mode. Great customer service with a phone call from Keldco a week after purchasing to make sure product arrived, installation was easy and that the app was installed, up and running. Couldn’t be happier. Kind regards David and Wendy
very easy to install. same on the iPhone. and it's great to see exactly what's going on at home when you're not there. Very impressed so far.
Great product easy to install does everything we need watches over our property while we are at work
Relatively easy to install with help from Hazel from the help desk. Initially seemed too motion sensitive to breezes etc, but again Hazel helped me with adjustments in the app. All good now. Good product that Nuffies like me can install at an excellent price (+128 SD) Happy client.
I've purchased a few security cameras now that say they're wireless only to find they have to be plugged in 24/7 to work properly but not with Keldco 👏 I am a woman on my own and managed to install my camera and set it up within an hour. No cords to plug into walls and no monthly subscriptions to keep my home safe just my Wifi, I can see clearly who's in view and I've even caught a few critters at night with the night vision setting. I just love this product, highly recommend it to everyone that wants clear, easy security and will be purchasing more cameras in the future. Australian owned and operated is always a definite buy for me, thank you so much 🩷
So easy to setup & great quality video content making it easy to recognise people who come within range, highly recommend
I don’t know my way around tools so had my device installed by an electrician. He was impressed by the quality of the camera. It looks good - sometimes just the visibility of a camera is a deterrent. Recommended
Been very good so far, very happy with them.
Works as it should considering the price.
Very happy with the solar cam 3.0 pro The auto tracking feature is great. Purchased 2 of these and can’t fault them so far. Happy customer
Great product , easy set up and great easy features. Highly recommend this camera.
My new KeldCo Solar cam Pro 3 is a great investment, no on going cost along with the free app which is also easy to use. Recommend these products to anyone that wants a good quality product and wants to get away from those nasty subscriptions! I also have a new KeldCo doormate on the way!
The Keldco Solar Powered Perimeter Kit package was very easy to install and has great coverage from the front door and surrounds. Very happy with this product and support service from the Keldco team. Thankyou.
Very happy with the first 2 that I bought and I’ve already ordered and received my next 2 but haven’t installed them yet.
Thanks for your worthwhile & easy to use product- very much appreciated!
We are so impressed with Keldco Security cameras. They are so easy to install...and purchasing gutter clamps enabled our Keldco solar panels a better exposure to the sun's rays without the need for tall ladders to install the supplied solar panel mounts.
They said it was easy to install - And it really was easy, 10 minutes! And they said it was easy to set up - And it definitely was, 10 minutes! And when I had some queries, the help desk was very responsive and helpful. I can't fault the product or service.
Great product, easy installation,
Works well for me great acquisition!!
Love the clarity and ability to follow movement. Solar charges to 100% every day. A bus just came along in front of house, the camera followed it, then returned to its original position. Wish the daughter wouldn’t leave the front gates open all day.
Really worth every penny as we use it daily and does exactly what we require it for.
